I can’t believe how long it’s been since I’ve shared a roundup of book reviews with you! I’ve been traveling a ton, and taking advantage of time on airplanes to get a lot of reading done. (I’m more than 25% of the way finished with my reading goal for the year!)
I’m here today to share the least original content of all time – a Chex mix recipe!
I’m not sure why, but my family only ever makes Chex mix at Christmas time. That just makes it all the more special since we only make and eat it once a year. Obviously there’s a Chex mix recipe on the side of any Chex cereal box, and you can buy the pre-made stuff at the store, but I love to make my own.
Not to freak you out, but we’re now less than a week out from Christmas. In case the ideas I shared in my previous gift guides weren’t enough to help you finish up your holiday shopping, I’m coming to you today with a guide to gifts for book lovers.
At my house, we exchange a lot of books for Christmas and birthday presents. I think a book is the perfect gift for so many reasons. And at the top of the list? You can get any of these on Amazon today and they’ll still arrive by Christmas!
Last week I completed a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) test to determine my Myers-Briggs Type. It turns out that these days I’m an ISFJ. When reading the ISFJ description, one aspect that resonated with me was that ISFJ’s have an affinity for gift giving.
When it comes to gift-giving, ISFJs have no equal, using their imagination and natural sensitivity to express their generosity in ways that touch the hearts of their recipients.
This really gets to why I love giving gifts. I love sitting down and thinking through the perfect gift for each person on my list. I’m always balancing wants and needs, my taste, and the recipient’s. As I’ve started doing my Christmas shopping, I’ve pulled together a list of some of my favorite Cyber Monday deals to help you with your own holiday shopping!
I love the holiday season. Spending time with family, cooking and baking, and hanging out by the fire are my favorite activities. And I love that there’s a season where everyone gets on board with my ideal lifestyle!
I think I do a pretty good job of not getting wrapped up in the more materialistic aspects of the holidays, but I have to admit – I LOVE Black Friday deals. (Although I’m not sure you can even call them Black Friday deals any more, because they start before Thanksgiving and last much longer than just one day.) In order to keep from doing too much shopping of my own, I’m channeling my personal shopper energy today by sharing some of my favorite sales with you!
