Abby Offsides follows Abby McIntyre, who escapes a broken engagement by moving from Boston to Liverpool to become social media manager for a football club. She plans to take time for herself, but those plans fall apart when she develops feelings for star player Lachlan Ramsey. Who is married.
For sporty and non-sporty girls alike (firmly in the latter camp myself), this is a cute read for World Cup season. The chemistry between Abby and Lachlan jumps off the page. The resolution isn’t too clean or pat to be believable, which I appreciated, but getting there takes a while. Still, I loved this one and highly recommend it.
