I’m unclear why I read Charlie Sheen’s memoir, “The Book of Sheen”, and I’m not sure why anyone else would either.
I love a celebrity memoir. I’ve also read and enjoyed a number of memoirs by people who are in recovery, like Sheen, and that’s a subgenre I appreciate. But Sheen seems to have no remorse for all the mistakes he’s made in life. It’s just not fun hearing about all of the drugs he’s done, sex workers he’s slept with, etc etc etc.
And the pacing of the book is strange – so much time is spent on his adolescence compared to on recent years.
In case you can’t tell, I do not recommend this book.
