The Next Day is a short memoir from Melinda French Gates. In the book, she examines several transition points in her life, including the death of a friend, the birth of her first child, and her decision to divorce her ex-husband and leave the foundation she created with him.
I’m not sure this book needed to be written, and I don’t know that I needed to read it. Still, it offers an interesting glimpse inside Gates’s mind. If you’re looking for tea about her divorce, however, you won’t find it here.
