The Unhoneymooners follows Olive, whose entire family comes down with food poisoning at her twin sister’s wedding, leaving her and her sister’s new brother-in-law Ethan to take the honeymoon to Hawaii in their place. Hijinks ensue.
The sense of place is nice and the extended family members are fun to spend time with. But the chemistry between Olive and Ethan never quite rang true for me, which is a pretty significant problem for a romance novel.
If you’re looking for Christina Lauren with tropical vacation vibes, I’d point you toward The Paradise Problem instead.
