This Story Might Save Your Life follows Benny, who co-hosts a podcast with his best friend Joy. When Joy and her husband Xander suddenly go missing, Benny becomes a suspect in their disappearance.
The premise is fun, but the execution didn’t quite land for me. The pacing felt off, and the friendship between Benny and Joy, which the whole story hinges on, was told rather than shown. I never felt the chemistry between them the way I needed to.
This one was just fine, and I know plenty of readers who really enjoyed it. But if you’re looking for a podcast-related mystery, I’d point you toward Listen for the Lie by Amy Tintera instead.
