The Honeymoon Crashers is the second book in the Unhoneymooners series, this time following Olive’s sister Ami and Ethan’s childhood friend Brodie, and it’s only available in audio for now. The cast narration is a genuine highlight, especially Glee star Harry Shum, who is so good as Brodie. I’d listen to him read the phone book.
The chemistry between Ami and Brodie is much more believable than in the first book, and Hawaii still feels like a fun place to spend a few hours. The final conflict hinges on a miscommunication that felt pretty silly to me, though.
Neither book is essential reading unless you’re a Christina Lauren completist. But if that’s you, start with The Unhoneymooners and work your way here.
